Work in progress

This section allows a constant communication and sharing of information among the project partners as far as the activities for the different intellectual outputs are concerned. Each project partner upload this section of a three months basis.

Objectives of activities carried out:

• Planning of all the activities to be done by IIS Leonardo da Vinci
• Publication of BiMo Project on our institutional website.
• Search and identification of the associated partners

• Continuous updating of the information on the project website
• Report on the activities carried out by our institute
• Sharing and updating of the project status with the other project partners, with the associated schools and with the associated partners.
• Contacts and research of managers, teachers and parents who will be involved in the interviews
• Contacts and research of teachers and students who will be involved in the case studies
• Organization and coordination of interview recordings
• Organization and coordination of case study recordings
• Coordination and organization of the translations of the various documents produced by the project: brochures, questionnaires, interviews, case studies, portal and MOOCs
• Coordination of the Italian chapter of the Policies Book Spanish
• Coordination of the dissemination activities

Description of activities carried out:

• Sharing the BIMO website and its results as much as possible above all addressing to schools, parents, teachers, school management/staff.
• Spreading the BIMO activities and results on the main social networks and mass media.
• Translating the brochures in Italian.
• Dissemination events /multiplier events/dissemination report.
• ISIS L. Da Vinci involved the Regional School Office (Ministry of Education) to effectively disseminate the project's objectives/results.
• Organized local meeting with the team
• Started the questionnaire collection process for teachers
• Contacted different schools to ask them to participate in the questionnaire process and join as associate partners
• Started the questionnaire collection process for families

Results Achieved:

• Eight associated partners and three schools throughout the country were involved in the project.
• The dissemination carried out by our institute has had excellent results. Schools and institutions were reached throughout the national territory and at European level.
• Collected 409 answers of the questionnaire: Teachers 120 - Families 71 - Managers 55 - Students 163
• Collected, reviewed and traslated 13 interviews: Teachers 5 - Families 4 - Managers 4
• Attending the kick off on line transnational meeting with all the partners.
• Attending the second virtual transnational meeting with all the partners.
• Attending the transnational meeting in Florence (Italy).
• Attending the transnational online meeting on 2022 February 14th.
• Attending the transnational meeting in Madrid (Spain).
• Attending the transnational meeting in Kaunas (Lithuania).
• Attending the transnational meeting in Iasi (Romania).
• Creation of slides and videos to present our institute and the project results achieved to the other partners.
Regarding the IO1:
• Administration of the questionnaires to all the figures involved, headmasters and staff, teachers, families and students.
• Coordination, organization and realization of interviews with all the figures involved, headmasters and staff, teachers, families and students.
• Translation of all interviews with all involved figures, headmasters and staff, teachers, families and students.
• Translation of questionnaire and interview reports.
Regarding the IO2:
• Research was carried out on the current situation of bilingualism in Italy in preparation for the creation of IO2.
• The chapter assigned to the Italian staff of IO2 has been completed.
• The translation of the IO2 chapters made by the other European partners was carried out.
• The translation into Italian of the various sections of the MOOC has been carried out.
Regarding the IO3:
• Coordination, organization and implementation of the 5 case studies, researching different case scenarios and good practices on bilingual teaching.
• Video interviews of the 5 case studies.
• Uploading of the interviews related to the 5 case studies on YouTube.
• Transcript of the interviews related to the 5 case studies.
• Subtitling of the interviews related to the 5 case studies.
• Transcription, translation and subtitling of case studies made by other countries on YouTube.
Dissemination activities:
A total number of 37 dissemination events have been carried out so far.
