BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANISATION
From the 2012-2013, the two high schools of Bagno a Ripoli, the Gobetti high school and the Volta Institute, merged into a single institute, the ISIS GOBETTI VOLTA, forming a single corpus, which will be able to answer more effectively to the training needs of the population and represent a significant cultural point of reference for the whole area.
From this fusion process, which brings together decades of experience and significant and distinct peculiarities of the two schools, the new entity arises, founded on the common heritage and on the practice of comparison and exchange, with a view to mutual enrichment and extension of good practices.
As part of the training offer, a linguistic experimentation has been active for many years which involved the teaching of a second foreign language and scientific experimentation.
Furthermore, as part of the autonomy, the possibility of maintaining the study of a second language and the improvement of the English language is offered.
The linguistic high school is characterized by a consolidated network of European and non-European partners, with whom exchanges, internships and apprenticeships in companies are regularly organised. In the technical fields particular attention is paid to the diffusion of the entrepreneurial and technical culture so to facilitate the students' approach to the work world, facilitated by the relationships consolidated over the years with organizations and associations (Chamber of Commerce, Industrial Association, CNA, etc.) and a wide network of companies and professionals in the economic-industrial sectors.
HOW THE ORGANISATION WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE DISSEMINATION AND EXPLOITATION OF THE PROJECT RESULTS
The project will be disseminated through the school's website, social networks and through posters in the school itself. There will be some teachers involved, that are going to answer the questionnaires, participate in the interviews and will support in the evaluation of the MOOC's and testing of the case scenarios.
