BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANISATION
Šiauliai Didždvaris Gymnasium has been implementing integrated language and subject education since 2005; subject teachers have participated in many trainings, have developed lesson plans and teaching aids. For several years, the gymnasium curriculum defines the principles of IKDM (CLIL) implementation:
Implemented CLIL, integrated subject and English language teaching (s):
75.1. ethics integrated with an introduction to the theory of knowledge, taught in English;
75.2. in Lithuanian and literature, by analyzing the work of English-language authors, students are taught to translate excerpts from original language into their native language;
75.3. not less than 10 percent. mathematics, IT lessons are conducted using English. terms using a methodological tool prepared by teachers;
75.5. not less than 10 percent. Nature, social, technology, art lessons are taught using English. terms using English sources;
75.6. during each economics lesson is compiled of the basic concepts in English. glossary;
75.7. not less than 10 percent. the optional subject “Learning to Learn” is conducted using sources in English, students are given the opportunity to present their reports in which language - Lithuanian or English;
75.8. subject teachers involve English-speaking volunteers from the European Service in the gymnasium;
75.9. II class students have the opportunity to choose the language in which to present a personal project - Lithuanian or English.
HOW THE ORGANISATION WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE DISSEMINATION AND EXPLOITATION OF THE PROJECT RESULTS
