The database of case studies is an excellent idea that can be implemented in each school as a resource for teachers.

BiMo is a hard-worked project with plenty of information that can help all of us who dedicate ourselves to bilingual education. I will share all the information with as many people as I can because it can help them to improve their methodology and use new ideas which can be taken from the case studios. I will also encourage my teaching staff to sign up for the MOOCs

The project’s outputs help parents be informed about bilingual and intensive language learning programmes and make the right decisions regarding our children’s education. But for success on bilingual and CLIL education, it is needed more teachers’ competencies, enthusiasm and motivation, the BIMO MOOCs offeres these opportunities for competences development.

By relying on the challenges posed by mobility, diversity and the internationalisation of education and by providing solutions and addressing all actors involved (parents, schools and students), the BiMo project enhances the capacity of schools to prepare students for life.
Carmen Antonita

The implementation of intensive/bilingual programmes provide students with linguistic competences in several languages which will enable them to work in diverse professional environments. Language teachers adapt language teaching to students’ needs: focus on communication and use of the language for professional purposes (CLIL). Students become better equipped for the world of work; VET students, for instance, will be able to read scientific articles in the field and to communicate with their peers from other countries in exchanges, competitions, conferences.

It is a privilege that BiMo project targets parents who play an important role in students’ foreign language study but are often left out and unaware of what a bilingual education programme means and therefore are unable to make the best decisions about the education of their offspring.

I speak as a father but also as a teacher. I think that the whole project can be very useful for teacher in bilingual education, which is notmy case. But I'm sure that they will agree that this project is really important and thay can get many ideas to use with their bilingual groups of students. The MOOC seems to be very interesting, and it is somthing good that they have done a especial one for families. I'm really thankful.

The most useful for me is the mooc for parents, because from home I can help my daughter and improve bilingualism within the family unit. I think is interesting that has been done from the point of view of different countries and that makes it more interesting and its results better. The stregth is the cases studied because several situations can be known.

The resource that I find most useful is the MOOC for parents, since it can help us to have an understaning of what bilingual education is. The most interesting thing of this project is that it is focused on the whole school community. Therefore, it helps families to get nearer to know what bilingual education implies.

From the mentioned sources the one that I find most useful would be MOOCs, because, nowadays they can be very useful for anything meetings, classes .... - The interesting aspects of the BiMo project is that they teach languages through education programs where they give you the possibility to learn languages with this help many people and can be very useful for other people who are interested in learning languages. The strong points of the BiMo project is that it has many methods or programs for teaching languages and it is easily accessible to learn languages through programs.

For me, the most useful source is the cases of studies. There are different good practices that I could use in my classes. I think that the project tries to study a very relevant topic for our future. The Bilingual Education Programme needs to be improved in Spain and we need this type of studies.
Juan Antonio Garrido Castro (Teacher)

From my point of view the most interesting thing about BiMo is to have the chance to share experiences among schools from so many different european countries.
Juan Carlos López Torres (School principal)
Spain
I think that the most useful output is the recopilation of good bilingual practices, since they can be used to have a new way of working with bilingual education in the school I manage. The most interesting aspect of the project is to broach for the first time the model of bilinagual teaching from different fields and perspectives.
Juan Tardío López (Father)
Spain
In my case, MOOCs are the most useful, since they let me participate and get involved in this great project. I like the topic, which is something I really care about as a father. And I also like the fact that not only teachers and students, but also families, are involved in it.

The project brings positive effects of CLIL programs on students’ cognitive development and their mother tongue competencies. It is vital that students explicitly realize that a foreign language is not a language spoken by the English teacher but a real means of communication.

The most useful for me is the Policy Recommendation Book and I think the strength is the exchange of experiences with other schools.

Mariana Manuela Acosta Serrano (Teacher)

For me, the case studies are the most imortant part of the project, because I think it is important for techers to have more resources and examples to use in their lessons. The project is good because it helps to improve bilingual communication in the country because, although students have at least a foreign language at schools, thy do not always learn it properly.

European projects also contribute to the success of the programmes. Children can speak with peers from all over Europe. Being able to speak a language is an advantage. This helps them to understand the culture created through that language, the historical, geographical and economic connections among nations. Speaking another language opens new horizons. CLIL offers an authentic tool and access to information in specialised fields.

This project has enhanced the collaboration between institutions, which has led to offering perspectives on bilingual education from both a theoretical and a practical point of view.

The fact that it gives you the opportunity to see how other teachers in other countries work, their projects, teaching principles and methodologies.
Mother
Spain
As a mother, I think that the MOOC is very interesting. I can see the utility of the other two parts of the project for teachers, but they are not so important for families, at least for me. Knowing the reality of bilingual education in different countries is very important. We should try to give more importance to bilingualism in our country.
Mother

For me the most useful are the moocs, specifically, the course for parents so I can improve my children's bilingualism. The situation of bilingualism in several countries and from there, try to improve it. Its strengths are the cases of good practice as examples.

It was useful to be a part of this project, to learn from different countries teachers, professors, policy makers, to develop results together and I believe that we will spread all we created also in the future with more teachers, more schools. The knowledge and experienced I gained improved my work with students in bilingual subject.

Seeing the MOOCs I could mark innovation In 2 different ways: innovative is the content and it is relavant that it is developed taking different countries attitudes. MOOC itself is not so innovative as there are huge databasis of them and teachers could select between them.

Database of case studies is useful resources database from which we could learn and take examples. I liked policy book as well. For Moocs I need more time to reflect, but what I have seen during the conference while results were presented in real time, I appreciate what it is created by international team. Good job!

I support idea of the project and see that international approaches could give innovative results. Bilingual subjects and at the same time bilingual education become more and more relavant, for this reason, thanks to the results created which could be additional resources for us as teachers to go forward in educational process..

It has been really interesting to know about the current situation of biligual education in our country as compared to this same kind of education in bilingual countries. I have also learnt a lot about different ways of working in class to implement and improve bilingual education. The three outputs are important, but especially the Mooc, which are very complete and helpful for our profession and the case studies, because I can put many of them into practise in my classes. Definitely, this kind of projects are really useful and necessary.
Plácida Lobato Rodríguez (School manager)
Spain
MOOCs and Case Studies are the most useful for me, since both of them give us appropriate context, practice and feedback for bilingual teaching and learning at school. Sharing experiences and practices among the different countries involved as well as the working team is also ine of the BiMo project's strengths.
Plácida Lobato Rodríguez (Teacher)
Spain
The three of them are really useful for teaching practices, although if I had to choose one of them, it would be the case studies since they provide great examples of good practices in English. I think the best of this project is the wide context that practices in several countries gives you. Sharing experiences and feedback with partners from different countries improves yours.

The Policy Recommendation Book can introduce us to the world of bilingualism, both for parents and professionals, in case we are interested in implementing a bilingual programme in our school. This way, we can see how bilingualism works in our country and also in other countries whose mother tongue is not English. The project contains data and opinions provided by students, families and teachers, therefore it shows the reality of how bilingualism works in the classrooms of the countries involved in the project.

The most important aspect is the collaboration between countries, providing a space in which to share different points of view on bilingual education.
School manager
Spain
As a school manager, I found the Policy Recommendation Book very interesting, since I can compare how bilingualism works in our country to others in Europe, and we can think about all those aspects that could be improved. It is a project carried out and at the same time aimed at all the people who take part of the educational community, (teachers, students and parents), and who are therefore looking for a quality education, and the mastery of a foreign language such as English is an indispensable tool in our current society.

For me, the main output is the case studies, as we can see different projects we will be able to put into practise in our classroom. Thanks to all the information gathered, we can know how the education system, and specifically bilingual education, works in our country compared to other European countries.

MOOCs as well as the Policy Book are very interesting to have a different approach to bilingual education and improve the result in the different subjects as well as the linguistic competence. The main strength of the project is that it deals with bilingualism from different educational systems, valuing the good aspects of each system, considering the common factors, so that we can have a different perpective of the current concept of bilingual education.
